I don't know about you, but I have really struggled with motivation and 'get and go' since Christmas Everyone I mention this too seems to be feeling exactly the same! So whats going on and what can we do to escape our temporary funks? I have been experimenting with a few techniques and thought I would share them with you Just call me your positivity fairy (Faye means fairy in French don't you know) 1. Keep a journal I was given Fearne Cotton's 'Happy The Journal' at Christmas and have been writing in it (almost) everyday. She gives you prompts, words of wisdom and encourages you to express and reflect of whats going on in your life. I was really surprised by how therapeutic it felt to get everything off your mind and onto paper. So grab a pen & paper and get scribbling 2. Treat yourself and the ones who support you Like many I would be lost without friends and family, especially my mum! So this Mother's Day I took her for Afternoon Tea at the very swish Alexander House Hotel. It was lovely to indulge with cake and have some girly time. Time out and a little treat does wonders! 3. Try something creative Distract or get that brain working with something fun and crafty. Maybe try something new and remember it doesn't need to be perfect. It's the 'doing' that matters, not the end result. Pick up a colouring book or a kit. I loved clearing my mind whilst getting my cross stitch on. Kit by Hannah Hand Makes 4. Remember its ok to admit when you are feeling a bit crappy!
Listen to funny podcasts or put on some music that makes you want to dance around the house. Personally I go for a bit Whitney Houston and sing my heart out! Or phone that friend you have been meaning to for ages and don't say "i"m fine" when you're not! have a little rant if you need to I hope you've found this blog article helpful and would love to hear any of your tips / advice
